Adoption Date: 11/11/1975
I - INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAM

The Board of Trustees sees education as a continuous process throughout life, which does not terminate with formal education. It recognizes and supports the position that the school district should cooperate with other community agencies in providing health, educational, cultural and recreational opportunities for all of the members of the Evanston community.

The school, in this section, becomes a force for community service and improvement for all citizens young or old. To achieve this objective, the school district shall provide opportunities for all community members to participate in a dynamic approach to individual and community improvement.

All adult education programs shall be coordinated through the community education supervisor, appointed by the superintendent and approved by the Board. Adult education programs in the Uinta county School District Number One include occupational courses, extension courses for school staff and other kinds of courses as desired by the public.

Adult education offerings shall be funded from federal and state sources, when available and permissible for the specific purpose; and, from the payment of tuition charged participants.

The adult education program shall be adequately publicized within the school district so that every interested citizen may be aware of the courses offered.
