IGBAE LEAST RESTRICTIVE ENVIRONMENT (LRE)

I - INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAM
 

Uinta County School District Number One shall ensure:

 

  1. To the maximum extent appropriate, students with disabilities, including children in public or private institutions or other care facilities, are educated with students who are nondisabled; and

 

  1. Special classes, separate schooling, or other removal of students with disabilities from the regular educational environment occurs only if the nature or severity of the disability is such that education in regular classes with the use of supplementary aids and services cannot be achieved satisfactorily.

 

 

Local procedures are maintained in the District’s “Special Services Manual” and may be accessed in the office of the Director of Special Services and in each school building. The local procedures in effect may be amended, modified or rescinded from time-to-time by federal or state laws, rules or regulations and such amendments, modifications or rescission shall be made part of the local procedure on the effective date of their adoption by federal or state authorities.
