I - INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAM
 

Uinta County School District Number One Board of Trustees, in compliance with Wyoming Statute 21-4-301, has established that the schools of the District shall be in operation each school year for at least 180 days and classes shall be conducted with a majority of teachers and students in attendance for a minimum of 175 days. The length of the school year and its schedule shall be designed to comply with the state required minimum number of days, and shall include pre-school workshops and inservice days as well as recess periods and legal holidays.

In the spring of each school year, the Superintendent shall recommend a school calendar, as developed utilizing the guidelines established in Board Policy ICA, to the Board for its review and approval.

NOTE: The Wyoming Education Policies Reference Manual, under code IC, offers an interpretation of the statutes with regard to teach inservice days, athletic contests, and days missed (or partially missed) due to emergency closing.
