Adoption Date: 1/1/1978, Revised: 9/12/1989
I - INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAM

The Uinta County School District Number One Board of Trustees shall establish the length of the normal school day for all schools in the District. The normal school day, as established by the Board of trustees, shall meet the minimum requirements for a school day as established by the State Board of Education. In order for a given day to count as an official day taught all schools in the District shall be in session for the complete normal day, unless the schedule is modified by the Superintendent.

All schools in the District shall maintain the schedule for the normal school day, as established by the Board of Trustees, unless the schedule for a given day is modified by the Superintendent. Under unusual circumstances, during inclement weather conditions, or for safety reasons, the Superintendent may reduce the length of the school day. In all cases, except for emergency and safety reasons, a modified school day schedule shall meet the minimum requirements for a school day, as established by the State Board of Education.

The Superintendent, in consultation with the District Administration, shall make recommendations for the school day schedule to the Board of Trustees.

The school day shall be correlated among the various schools of the District so as to provide for as much efficiency in District Support Services operations as reasonably possible.
