Foreign Language K-12 Resources & Curriculum
The foreign language program begins in grades K-2 using the state-provided Salsa Curriculum. It is then offered again in grades 6-8 as a related arts class, with students having a choice in 9-12 languages, including French, German, and Spanish. Throughout high school, students may continue the study of these languages to the Advanced Placement Level. Through these programs, the UCSD #1 Foreign Language offerings provide the skills and preparation for students to have a broad understanding of the world, proficiency in other languages, and knowledge of other cultures.
