IGDJ-A NATIONAL TRAVEL

I - INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAM
 

Activities that are sanctioned by the Wyoming High School Activities Association (WHSAA) shall be allowed to attend national competitions if such an event exists for the activity. Travel for national competitions shall be allowed for up to six (6) students and one (1) sponsor and shall be supported by extra district financial support up to $750 per person. Additional financial support may be requested and granted if funds are available for extra students. National travel will be allowed only for students in grades 9-12 and only for co-curricular activities and not athletics.

 

Activities that are not sanctioned by WHSAA shall register with the Uinta County SD # 1 Activities office who will certify that national competitions for such activities exist. These activities must register and be sanctioned by October 1 every year to be eligible for national travel. All of these district-sanctioned activities will be put on a list allowing district financial support for national competitions every three years. These activities may attend national competitions in years not supported by district funds, but all expenses will be the responsibility of the sponsoring activity.
