GDBA SUPPORT STAFF SALARY SCHEDULE

Adoption Date: 3/29/1978, Revised: 9/1/1978; 03/09/93
G - PERSONNEL

The Uinta County School District Number One Board of Trustees shall establish a compensation plan for all support staff in the District. The compensation plan shall be administered by the Superintendent in accordance with guidelines established by the Board.

It is the intent of the Board of Trustees to establish a fair and equitable salary schedule for all support employees and when reasonably possible, said schedule should be upheld by all members of the support staff and the administration. Salary schedules express a policy, which the Board expects to follow in setting staff salaries, but they are not contracts between the Board of Trustees and its employees.

The Board reserves the right to amend at any time, any or all parts of any current schedule and provisions relating thereto, as in the opinion of the Board seems necessary. Under this provision, any part or all of the annual increment may be withheld and such other adjustments of salaries may be made as financial conditions warrant.

Placement

In most instances, employees new to the District will be placed on step one of the salary schedule. Experienced support employees may be placed on the salary schedule in accordance with their training and experience.

Special Provisions

Special provisions of the support staff compensation plan and conditions of employment shall be set forth in the Handbook of Operational Procedures for Support Staff.

NOTE: The salaries for certain supervisory and non-certified administrative staff members are in accordance with the administrative compensation plan approved by the Board and are made part of the employee’s individual contract with Board.
