GCI PROFESSIONAL STAFF ASSIGNMENTS AND TRANSFERS

Teachers will be assigned to positions within the district at the discretion of the superintendent. Teachers have the right to petition for a change in assignment, or to appeal any decision concerning their assignment to the Board. Teachers are to be given due and sufficient notice of any contemplated change in their assignment.

Teachers and other certificated staff shall be assigned in the district’s schools in accordance with their training and experience district-wide. They will also be assigned to extracurricular and co-curricular school-related activities as part of their duties, to ensure proper supervision and direction of school-related activities.
