Additional compensation beyond the regular salary will be paid to those staff members who perform special services which require the assumption of extra ordinary responsibilities, as determined by the administration to be essential to program operation or student safety. Such pay shall be in accordance with extra duty remuneration rates and/or addendum schedules approved by the Board.
Assignments to extra duty positions i.e. announcer, scoreboard operator, or other specific assignments made by the building level or District level administration, will be compensated at the extra duty rate approved by the Board. The extra duties subject to this compensation will be submitted to the Superintendent for prior approval.
Contract addendums shall be issued to those certified employees who meet State certification standards, are recommended by the administration and approved by the Board of Trustees to provide services as coaches, sponsors or coordinators. These services would normally be rendered beyond the normal areas of responsibility. All addendums shall specify the specific area of responsibility and length of service. Addendums are issued a year at a time and do not constitute a guarantee of a continuous contract or property right. Addendums are not covered by the rules, policies or regulations that govern the contracts issued to staff members for their teaching duties. All contract addendums shall be compensated at a rate based on established addendum schedules and compensation procedures approved by the Board of Trustees.
