JL STUDENT GIFTS AND SOLICITATIONS

No principal, teacher or other employee of the Board will accept money as a gift from any student. Gifts of appreciation given by a class to a principal, teacher or other employee of the Board shall represent small tokens of minimal monetary value.

The sale of tickets or the solicitation of funds from students for any purpose except for school activities authorized under Board Policies or otherwise expressly permitted by the Board, will not be sold or solicited on school premises. No contributions of money for any purpose will be collected from or by school children except as authorized by the Superintendent.

The main emphasis of any fund-raising campaign should be on the educational aspects of the program and with the end result to directly benefit local students.

Fund raising campaigns for charitable purposes will be restricted to those authorized by the Superintendent.

House-to-house canvassing by any student, K-12, for any school or school related purposes will by discouraged. In the event that house-to-house canvassing should occur, the specific activity, objective(s) to be accomplished and the entire canvassing process must be approved by the Superintendent in advance.
