JECC ASSIGNMENT OF STUDENTS TO SCHOOLS

Adoption Date: 6/12/1990
J - STUDENTS

A resident pupil of Uinta County School district Number One must attend the school within the attendance area of residence or the school to which assigned unless the student has received authorization from the Superintendent of Schools to attend a school other than the school of the designated attendance area.

Student transfers from one attendance area to another will be based on specific factors, which effect the education and welfare of the pupil. Authorization for a pupil to attend a school other than the school of designated attendance by area of residence may be granted because of health reasons, hardship cases, special program needs and for disciplinary and administrative reasons.

When the Superintendent approves a formal request from a parent or guardian to authorize a student to attend a school other than the school of designated attendance area; the approval is granted contingent upon the continued availability of space in the requested school and with the understanding that appropriate transportation to and from school becomes the responsibility of the parent.

All out of area attendance requests will be authorized on a year-to-year basis only.
