Smoking (defined to include electronic cigarettes, see policy GBK/KGC) and the conspicuous possession of tobacco products by students while in or on school properties or under the school’s jurisdiction during school hours or while participating in a school-sponsored event is prohibited.

Professional personnel should carry on intensive programs of education designed to fully inform students about the hazards of smoking.
