K - SCHOOL-COMMUNITY RELATIONS

Staff-Community Relations

It is the philosophy of the Board of Trustees of Uinta County School District Number One that professional educators and other District employees are community leaders and should respond as such. They are expected to participate in leadership roles in community activities, political activities (as individuals, not representing the district), and make public appearances when possible.

Staff-community relations are of prime importance to the District. Therefore, in their relationships with community groups, a conscientious effort should be made by all staff members to make school life real and a part of community life. Staff members should endeavor to know the community, its influence and its opportunities for students as well as for themselves. All staff members are expected to conduct themselves at all times in a manner which will generate respect from the community patrons and enhance the image of the District.
