KF COMMUNITY INSTRUCTIONAL RESOURCES

Adoption Date: 12/14/1976
J - STUDENTS

The Board of Trustees supports the position that the schools should cooperate with other community agencies in providing health, educational, cultural and recreational opportunities for all citizens of the community. The school, in this setting, becomes a force for community service and improvement. This can be a dynamic approach for individual and community development and improvement.

The schools of Uinta County School District Number One provide educational opportunities for the citizens of the district through its adult education programs, cultural and recreational opportunities through the approved use of its facilities by civic groups and community organizations.

In turn, the community itself is invaluable in providing district students with resources for career awareness and career exploration programs and with opportunities for work-study. The Board and the administration will seek to collaborate with community groups and individuals in their efforts to make good use of the educational resources and talents this community has to offer, so that all students may be prepared for a productive adult life.

Finally, the Board urges the support of commitment of all district employees, so that all may work together to meet the district’s educational needs and build a better life for all who are part of this community.
