EEAC SCHOOL BUS SAFETY PROGRAM

Uinta County School District Number One embraces the accident and emergency procedures as set forth in the current Wyoming Driver’s License Manual.

The safety and welfare of student riders shall be the first consideration in all matters pertaining to transportation. Safety precautions shall include the following:

1. Children shall be instructed as to the proper procedure for boarding and exiting from a school bus and in proper and safe conduct while aboard.

2. Emergency evacuation drills shall be conducted semi-annually to acquaint student riders with procedures in emergency situations.

3. All buses and MPVs used to transport children shall be safety inspected semi-annually.

The board shall comply with state safety regulations in formulating and accomplishing its school bus safety program, and buses shall be equipped to meet all standards as required by state law and the State Board of Education.
