BDE SPECIAL PROCEDURES FOR CONDUCTING HEARINGS

Adoption Date: 7/19/2008, Revised: 6/13/1991
B - SCHOOL BOARD GOVERNANCE AND OPERATIONS

Rules of Practice Governing Contests Before the Board of Trustees of Uinta County School District Number One have been adopted by the Board as authorized by the Wyoming Administrative Procedures Act.

These procedures apply to all hearings required by law to be held with respect to termination, dismissal and suspension of teachers under the Wyoming Teachers Employment Law and to all hearings required by law to be held with respect to the suspension or expulsion of any student from the public schools.

These rules may, at the discretion of the Board, also apply to any other hearing that may be held by the Board, such as due process hearings for handicapped students and their parents or guardians or hearings pertaining to eligibility for free and reduced price lunches.

Informal or investigative hearings may be held by the Board without compliance with these rules.

A copy of the Rules of Practice Governing Contests is on file in the Office of the Superintendent and is available for public inspection during regular office hours.
