JECA ADMISSION OF RESIDENT STUDENTS

J - STUDENTS
 

The public school of this district shall be free and accessible to all resident children over five (5) and under twenty-one (21) years of age, as required by law. No child shall be denied the right to attend school in the district on account of sex, race, religion, or handicap, in accordance with applicable statutes and the Board’s policy on equal educational opportunities.

Accordingly, all children who are of school age and live in this district with their parents or legal guardian shall be admitted to the public schools without payment of tuition.

Birth certificates or other legal proof of age must be presented for each child entering kindergarten or first grade in this district for the first time.

It is the policy of the Board to require that everyone enrolled in grades K through 12 must meet current Wyoming Immunization requirements as determined by State Statutes and their accompanying standards and recommendations. An immunization record shall be given as proof of the required immunizations or the student shall show proof of an authorized waiver. This immunization record or authorized waiver shall be an integral part of the student’s school record.
