FEG SUPERVISION OF CONSTRUCTION

F - FACILITIES DEVELOPMENT

 

Working conditions must be maintained at a construction project that are favorable to a maximum efficiency and, therefore, are in the best interest of the district and the public.

The Board, as necessary, shall appoint a clerk-of-the-works to serve as construction inspector. It shall be the responsibility of this person to supervise and inspect construction to be certain that the best interests of the public are protected. The clerk-of-the-works shall also keep local city and county officials informed of developments regarding any new construction in the district so that a strong working relationship will exist throughout the period of construction.

It shall be the superintendent’s duty to supervise expenditures made during the construction period.

The contractor shall supervise the actual construction and the workers who he has employed.
