L - EDUCATION AGENCY RELATIONS

As permitted by law, the Board of Trustees of Uinta County School District Number One may enter into contractual agreements with other school districts for the purpose of providing special services for students. In general, these arrangements shall be made to meet the district’s obligation to provide the best and most appropriate education for every student, including those for whom special accommodations are necessary.

Membership and participation of this school district in cooperative ventures shall be by vote of the Board. The superintendent, another administrator or a Board member may be selected as official liaison. While the Board is a member of any cooperative, the district shall abide by the cooperative’s rules and participate actively in its endeavors.

Currently, the Board has granted approval for membership in the Region V Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) and Lifelong Learning Center (BOCES).
