EGAA UINTA COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT NUMBER ONE COPYRIGHT POLICY

The administration and the school board of Uinta County School District Number One are committed to the observance of federal copyright laws. Those employees who violate federal copyright laws or district copyright guidelines will be held solely responsible for their actions.

 

The Superintendent of Schools or his designee shall prepare a copyright guidelines manual, distribute it to the faculty and staff, and conduct inservice on the copyright guidelines for the faculty and staff. The superintendent or his designee shall determine that appropriate copyright warning notices are placed on all school district copying equipment.

 

In the event that Uinta County School District Number One contracts with personnel or assigns personnel employed by the school system to produce or author a work such as a text, a written document, a non-print production or any other material, the school district retains the ownership of the copyright and any other rights such as publication, distribution, performance, reproduction, or marketing.

 

Any employee of the school district who authors or produces a written work or any other material on their own volition and with no specific contractual arrangements having been made with the school district for the creation of that work, retains all copyright ownership and all other rights to the work.
