DA FISCAL MANAGEMENT GOALS

Adoption Date: 7/19/2008
D - FISCAL MANAGEMENT

The quantity and quality of learning programs are directly dependent on the funding provided and the effective, efficient management of those funds.

It will be the responsibility of the superintendent to see that the district's fiscal management methods are up-to-date and modeled after the best accepted business practices in order to serve the goal of a modern, continually improving educational program for the children and the youth of the district.

The school budget is to be organized by programs and activities to meet stated goals and objectives of the school system. The purpose of the goals and objectives for each budgeted fund should be adequately stated and understood by the members of the Board and its chief executive officer so that sufficient information may be provided to interested parties.

Further, the Board recognizes the important trust it has been given with the responsibility of managing a large amount of public resources. As trustee of local, state and federal funds allocated for use in public education, the Board will be diligent in fulfilling its responsibility to see that these funds are used wisely for achievement of the purposes to which they are allocated.
