CFA EVALUATION OF SCHOOL BUILDING ADMINISTRATION

Adoption Date: 6/14/1977, Revised: 5/14/2013
C - GENERAL SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION

In line with the Board's philosophy that improvement in the school district's instructional program can be achieved only through constant evaluation, building administrators and directors will be evaluated regularly by the Superintendent. A written summative evaluation is to be completed annually before an administrator’s contract is renewed by official board action in February or March.

Evaluation is defined as the decision-making process that determines the employment status of the administrative staff. Evaluation is based on formative data, both formal and informal collected by the administrator and superintendent. This data is used to assess how well the administrator meets performance expectations as defined by the District. Evaluation is the process of assessing evidence and data to prescribe improvement strategies, professional development, salary schedule movement, and determine whether to recommend the administrator by rehired.
