Uinta County School District #1 is discussing a resolution to reduce the size of the board from nine (9) members to a seven (7) member board. The Board is respectfully requesting your input.
The reduction would commence on the first day of December 2018. This would be accomplished by reducing the number of board member positions open for election in the November 2018 election from five (5) to three (3). Two (2) elected board member positions would be eliminated from the November 2018 election.
The board will hold a public forum on Tuesday, October 24 at 7:00 p.m. at the Education Service Center (537 10th Street) in the board room to discuss the pros and cons of reducing the size of the board. The public is encourage to attend!
