UME is proud to announce first grade teacher, Laura Rigby, as a recipient of the Arch Coal Teacher Achievement Award for the 2016-17 school year. Ten teachers across the state of Wyoming receive this award each year. Laura was anonymously nominated for the award and found to not only be an excellent candidate, but the Arch Coal committee found her to be one of the best teachers in the state of Wyoming. This is a well deserved honor! She works hard to build relationships and educate children each and every day. She is the Blended Learning Lead at UME and helps provide staff with the support they need to personalize learning for every child. The Arch Coal Teacher Achievement Award recognizes Laura for her contributions as an educator. It is also evidence of the great work that teachers on her grade level team, throughout UME and across UCSD #1 do for students on a daily basis. Congratulations, Mrs. Rigby!
